“Finding Magic in the Ordinary”:
When I was a child one of my mother’s favorite pastimes would be for us to lie on our backs in the grass, look at the clouds, and decide what image was brought to mind. As I grew older, I was often daydreaming and my search for imagery in everyday items grew. Sometimes I will be walking and something catches my eye. It is as if there is a brief moment when time stands still. A freeze-frame. For a split second my spirit, mind, and inner eye collide with my camera. Finding magic in the ordinary is so satisfying to me. A friend once said my photos are like:
“Waking from an intricate dream that makes no sense, but still, you wake up feeling happy and satisfied.”
